SLAB BBQ Overview

SLAB was founded on the basis of bringing you new flavors that may be a break from your traditional Texas BBQ. We bridge the taste bud gap of the Dirty South from Memphis, to the Carolinas, Alabama, and Texas. SLAB began as a food trailer in 2006, originally named Sugar Shack BBQ, and in August 2014 opened a brick and mortar location. SLAB focuses on BBQ sandwiches, and also offers catering for any size events.



The goal and vision for SLAB BBQ is to become a leading BBQ restaurant in the south/southwest region of the U.S. Our growth/expansion will be accomplished via private capital or franchising.


Keystone Bank has helped with facilitating financing and banking needs for both day-to-day operations as well as business expansion.

Community Involvement:

SLAB BBQ supports a number of local non-profits benefiting underserved communities, veterans’ groups, education and our local refugee population.
