Job Responsibilities:

Provides a seamless delivery of customer service from routine to complex issues by assisting in a branch environment. The role will be required to deliver a high quality customer experience while using their knowledge of multiple products and will identify, diagnose, and act on customers’ financial needs, including referrals to the appropriate line of business for specialized services. The Relationship Associate utilizes their thorough knowledge of financial products, including business deposit products, small business loans, and deposit products, to provide excellent customer service to the customer.

Job Duties:

  • Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks, traveler's checks, answering questions in person or on telephone; referring to other bank services.
  • Records transactions by logging cashier's checks and other special services; preparing currency transaction reports.
  • Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customers' needs; directing customers to a branch representative.
  • Completes special requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; providing special statements, copies, and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures, if applicable.
  • Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; reconciling loan coupons and other transactions; turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to head teller; maintaining supply of cash and currency.
  • Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions; maintaining customer traffic surveys; auditing other tellers' currency; assisting in certification of proof.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Responsibilities: Open all types of new accounts and cross-sells basic banking services to new prospects and existing customers in a courteous and friendly manner. Interviews new account customers and performs other functions such as setting up records, verifying references, and holding uncollected funds.
  • Answers a variety of customer inquiries and maintains a working knowledge of bank services.
  • Position requires positive and active support for the Bank, the customer and all co-workers.
  • Position must regard all customer, client and employee records as strictly confidential and obtain, use or share such information only as authorized and absolutely necessary.
  • Opening and closing checking and savings accounts, TCD’s, IRA’s and safe deposit boxes
  • Account maintenance on checking and savings accounts, TCD’s, IRA’s and safe deposit boxes
  • Stop payment · Interest pay by check for TCD’s
  • IRA distributions/contributions
  • Address changes, Check orders/Billings
  • Answer basic online banking questions
  • Balancing customer statements
  • Notary
  • Special projects as assigned
